The Real Cost of Missed Calls for Louisiana Pool & spa contractors
- ×Every hurricane power outage kills pumps for days in smothering heat, and pools turn green across entire parishes at once; the recovery-service surge lands with whichever company answers.
- ×Storm winds drop branches, leaves, and shredded roofing into pools statewide — homeowners want same-week cleanup and equipment checks before algae takes over, and they call down the list until someone commits.
- ×Mild winters mean short closings but a frantic compressed opening season each April; scheduling calls stack up on Monday mornings after the first warm weekends.
- ×New-build and renovation consultations are comparison-shopped hard across the Baton Rouge and Northshore markets, and a missed first call usually means the design meeting — and the deposit behind it — goes to another builder.
The Numbers
- Monday mornings run 340% higher call volume than Friday afternoons. (IBISWorld)
- 27% of home services calls go unanswered. (Invoca, 60M+ calls analyzed)
Louisiana Seasonality
Louisiana's trade calendar is written by the Gulf. Atlantic hurricane season runs June 1 through November 30, and the state has taken the worst of it — Katrina in 2005, Laura and Delta striking Lake Charles six weeks apart in 2020, and Ida knocking out power to greater New Orleans for weeks in 2021. Summers are long and swampy, with heat indices topping 105°F and cooling season stretching from April into October south of I-10. Hard freezes are rare but brutal — the February 2021 Gulf freeze burst pipes statewide — and Formosan termites swarm New Orleans every May around Mother's Day. North Louisiana around Shreveport runs hotter and drier, with occasional ice storms of its own.
The Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors (LSLBC) licenses commercial work at $50,000 and up and residential construction at $50,000 and up, but electrical, mechanical (HVAC), and plumbing work trigger licensing at just $10,000. In a major 2026 shakeup, HB953 — signed June 12, 2026 — dissolved the century-old State Plumbing Board of Louisiana and folded plumber licensing into the LSLBC as a subcommittee effective January 1, 2027.
Why CrewForce — Not a Generic Service
A generic receptionist service can't tell a cloudy-water question from a dead pump. Lily can — she books the service visit, flags equipment emergencies, and signs up weekly routes, tuned to south Louisiana's long season.
More Than an Answering Service
Answering the phone is where CrewForce starts — not where it stops. The same AI crew that captures pool service calls also schedules the job, builds the work order, pulls the permit, sends the invoice, and chases the review. 15 agents, one back office.
Pricing
Pricing is sized to your shop — see your exact number in 60 seconds at crewforce.cloud/demo. Flat monthly cost. No per-minute meter. The same line answers the same way whether your call volume that month is 80 or 800.
Hear It Yourself
Call our demo line right now. Tell the AI your pool service situation and book an appointment. 60 seconds.
